There are 3 Key Mistakes most of bus-boys and waiters are constantly doing when applying for a (better) job.
Number one is OUTDATED CV.
Most CV´s today are completely out-dated and all the same. When writing a CV is all about thinking what your employee wants and what is he looking for.
It´s not about the hobbies you have, your school degree, which books you like to read. It´s about what you can do for him.
If you are a people person, for example a person who is very bubbly and confident, well that is a perfect recipe for a best seller. Selling is a skill that can easily be learned and mastered by a perfect strategy.
Number two is Coming To The Interview Un-Prepared.
You remember? First impression counts, always!
Coming to the interview and being In The Know is great advantage to have among all other applicants.
Make sure you learn all about the establishment, the owner and the management, about their layouts, everything you could possible learn and present yourself as an expert in your field. Ask questions to make them feel you are the one actually choosing them rather then that you are looking for a job.
Run the interview with a style and win it as a boss.
Number 3 is Doing Things Yourself.
Many of the bus-buys and waiters are trying to do things by themselves and trying to figure out what is working and what is not. And most of the time that cost them their job or they simply give up and get stuck in the same sh*ty job for years.
From my experience I can say that life can only goes three ways…
One is you don’t do anything about your life, and you stay where you are right now.
The second one is you try to start your own waiter career alone. If you do that, you’re going to struggle for years and it’s going to give you a lot of headaches.
And the third option is you can start your career with best trainings, community and mentors.
This first option---it’s a sure-fire, guaranteed way nothing’s going to happen. That’s just a fact. So, if you don’t do anything about your life, you’ve already failed.
Then number two: if you try to go at it alone, well, that doesn’t work either. It’s going to take a long time. It’s going to take years and it’s going to be painful. So, that doesn’t work either.
If you want make a change in your life, and become one of the best VIP waiters in your field then you must have the best trainings, community and mentors around you. That is the way to win.
Life can really only go one of these three ways.
You want to make a decision to change. And you need to take that action.
You don’t want to end up still in the same place five or ten years from now, thinking, “What if?”
You want to make it happen.
Sometimes are the smallest decisions that change your life forever.
